12 Month Update

Happy ONE YEAR, little love!

Now that I've taken the sticker off, I'm going to try to put it back on;-)

Height/Weight: She was 31 inches tall and 22.5 lbs at her one-year check up. So this all means that her height in in the 90-95th percentile (is anyone surprised by this?) and her weight is in the 60th percentile. Whooooo healthy baby!

Clothes: She is rocking out the 18 month clothes and a few 24 month. I've heard the rapid growth slows down because if not all those great clothes I bought at consignment last season aren't going to fit!

Likes: This happy girl likes just about everything. She loves anything musical and crawling around on her daddy. She is also a big fan of going up the stairs and having us race to catch her before she can go flying back down. 

Dislikes: Not a huge fan of us trying to make her walk by holding onto her hands. She just hoists her legs up and plops down on her behind!

Milestones: She can stand on her own but hasn't been brave enough to take a step yet. She also has another tooth popping thru, but this one is one of her vampire teeth! She's going to look so funny with two on the bottom and a vampire tooth on the top:-P She has also figured out that putting stuff away can be just as fun as taking it all out. Thankful she learned that little trick!

11 Month Update

Happy 11 months, little love!

Hmmm, I wonder what this tastes like. . .

Height/Weight: Not sure about exact height and weight measurements, but when we took her to Urgent Care a few weeks ago she was 21 lbs, 13 oz and 29 inches.

Clothes: A few 12 months, but more 18 months. This girl is long!

Likes: She is such a happy baby it's hard to pinpoint just a few likes. She is still interested in my keys. In fact, they kept her occupied for an hour and a half in the car on the way to Florida! She likes unpacking any bag that I pack and making big messes, then crawling away. I suppose that's just a part of toddlerhood! She seems to really like the beach too-yay!

Dislikes: Not a ton of dislikes since she is such a wonderful little one!

Milestones: She is scooting around the furniture standing up now. She has also stood for a second or two on her own without holding onto anything before she plops back down. 

10 Month Update

 Okay, I'm done.

But first let me take a selfie

Height/Weight: Not sure about exact height and weight measurements, but I'm going to guess around 20 lbs.

Clothes: We're all in with the 12 month clothes. No going back now!

Likes: She loves keys and shoelaces! If I need a few minutes or to entertain her while I'm trying to accomplish something (a foreign concept as a mama of a little!) I just throw some keys her way or point her in the direction of my running shoes. 

Dislikes: The car seat. She's getting a smidgen better (she only screams for part of the car ride and not the entire time), but is still not a fan. We have tried everything and have just resorted to letting her fuss. We're hoping she gets over this soon because those trips back and forth to Raleigh are going to be rough!

Milestones: She officially has two little teeth on the bottom that she loves to show off by cheesin'. She is also on the move! There is no hiding now;-) She has also started "sharing", but she doesn't actually want you to keep it-haha! She is pulling up on everything and with her lack of depth perception is earning her first few scrapes and bruises!

9 Month Update

Does that really say 9 months??

Height/Weight: She weighed in at 19 lbs and 6 oz which puts her in the 69th percentile. She is around 28 inches long which puts her in the 68th percentile. I think it's safe to say our kid is pretty even!

Clothes: Still hanging out in the 9 month clothes with a few 12 month items for length.

Likes: She still loves being outside as much as possible. She also loves to stand up, play with my phone, and eat grass. She's a pretty cool kid.

Dislikes: She went through a nasty "don't leave me in a room alone" phase that wore on us in a big way, but has  mostly come through that meanness. She also does not enjoy being up past her bedtime. As soon as we start getting close she slowly starts to lose her mind and all hell breaks lose. 

Milestones: She is so close to crawling it's ridiculous! She gets up on her knees and rocks back and forth, but then just flops down. She also shouts "da-da" but not at David. . . she's talking to the dog! She tries to say Daisy! She also got her first tooth and is working on her second!

8 Month Update

Who? Me??

Height/Weight: Still not sure on this one. I'd say she's around 18-19 lbs, but we'll find out officially at her 9 month check up next month. She's super long too! Her legs go on for dayssssss.

Clothes: Still hanging out in the 9 month clothes with a few 12 month items for length.

Likes: She loves being outside and now that the weather is nice we get out as much as we can. She loves to clap and smile and play. Such a happy baby! She also LOVES to eat. She would sit in her high chair and eat all day if I let her.

Dislikes: She is definitely getting much more of a personality and will let her know when she doesn't like something, but overall she is a very happy baby. We thank God every day for the blessing that she is :-) I will say she is not a big fan of yogurt unless I mix in pear puree, but only pears. She ate a whole pear herself last week!

Milestones: She is clapping about anything and everything! She is also feeding herself like a champ these days. She has tried all sorts of foods and aside from the yogurt really hasn't opposed much. We also have officially stopped nursing :-( She seemed to be weaning herself and would only sit still for the first feeding each day, so the timing of the medicine worked out well.

7 Month Update

Daisy, you want one too? I'll share mine!

Height/Weight: Who knows at this point-haha. I had been trying to weigh her on our scale at home, but it always seems so off. We do know she lost a smidge when she was sick, but she has definitely gained it back. I'd say she is somewhere in the 17-18 lb range?

Clothes: Sticking in the 9 month clothes range these days. Some 6-9 stuff still, but it's a squeeze. She is wearing a few 12 month onesies just for the length. 

Likes: Still loves Daisy and Daddy. She also loves eating any and all types of food! We've also noticed she loves music of any type. As soon as she hears she starts to wave her arms up and down.

Dislikes: We're very blessed that overall she continues to be a pretty happy baby. The nighttime transition from bath to pajamas is a rough time every night-I'm hoping this ends before she's 18;-) 

Milestones: She is rolling every which direction. It cracks me up to lay her down and then come back a few minutes later to see her a few feet away! She also is sitting up completely on her own. I'm loving this stage of her sitting up by herself and being able to play!

Fun Fact-She doesn't really have  a7 month "birthday" because she was born on the 29th and there are only 28 days in February. Nifty, huh?

6 Month Update

Happy 6 months, little love!

Daisy kind of crashed our party this month.

Anddddd we're done.

Height/Weight: According to our visit to the doctor she weighs in at 17 lbs, 5oz and is in the 73rd percentile for weight. She is 26 inches long which is about 57th percentile. It seems she grew out from our four month appointment, but not up! Haha.

Clothes: Sticking in the 9 month clothes range these days. Some 6-9 stuff still, but it's a squeeze. 

Likes: She loves her some Daisy. She will just stick her hands out for Daisy to lick and can't stop giggling when she does!

Dislikes: She's in a phase of loving mommy and daddy and not many others. I know it's just a phase, but it's wearing on me! She also hates the transition from bath to pajamas. It's a battle every night!

Milestones: She loves rolling from her tummy to her back, but hasn't quite figured out how to get from her back to her tummy. She has recently discovered how to take her paci out of her mouth and put it back in. She's not consistent, mind you, but she knows the process! She's also getting better about sitting up and staying up by herself. I just love watching her sitting up playing with her toys!

5 Month Update

Height/Weight: Using our bathroom scale she weighed in at 16.6 lbs! A healthy girl!

Clothes: Lots of 6-9 month and 9 month clothes. Though she did wear a 9 month jacket the other day and it left creases in her chunky little arms! Haha! 

Likes: Homegirl loves when people clap and celebrate her-I mean who wouldn't? ;) She also loves her daddy and gets so excited to see him! She also loves her daddy. As soon as he is around her face lights up!

Dislikes: Not a huge fan of the Nose Frida, aka the booger sucker. She'll tolerate it at times, but mostly wriggles away as fast as her body will let her!

Milestones: She has found her feet! She loves to practice her yoga poses and grab her socks right off. She also seems to have figured out she has hands and can do fun things with them, like grab at her elephant on her play mat or bring things to her mouth. She started showing an interest in eating so she's tried a few foods at this point and loves it! She is definitely a Mobley with her appetite;-)

4 Month Update!

My what delicious hair you have. . .

Height/Weight: Amelia Grace officially weighs 15 lbs 10 oz and is in the 77th percentile for weight. She is 26 inches long and in the 96th percentile for height! Looks like she got some of her parents' height;-)

Clothes: Baby girl is wearing lots of 6 month and even some 9 month, though they are a little big. It's funny how different the sizes are based on the stores. She has 3-6m pants that fall right off, but 12m leggings from Target that are skin tight! 

Likes: She loves when her daddy sings to her-she'll "sing" back! She loves gnawing on her little fingers and has even brought my fingers to her mouth to chew on. Perhaps a little teething?

Dislikes: Not a fan of getting her arm stuck between her crib slats, but I guess that comes with the territory of scooting! 

Milestones: She is propping herself up on her elbows and scooting around some. It's more of a circular movement than forward, but it's still exciting! She's also sitting up really well in the Bumbo without any help. She giggled once a few weeks ago, but we haven't been able to catch her doing it since then. It was a full-on belly laugh!

3 Month Update!

My doll baby isn't very big anymore!

Height/Weight: Through my super scientific method of weighing myself holding her, then putting her down, then weighing myself I was able to determine she weighs about 14 pounds. My arm muscles are definitely feeling the weight of that!

Clothes: She is mainly wearing 3-6 months with some 6 month clothes. It's so heartbreaking packing up all her little clothes that she'll never wear again :-( But I am definitely glad she is healthy and growing!

Likes: Still loves her tummy time and now that her neck is stronger she picks her head up and swings it back and forth showing off-haha! She also loves when her daddy whistles to her. She is also a big fan of the baby in the mirror above her swing.

Dislikes: We are blessed that she is generally a happy baby! She is still not a fan of getting out of the bath, but who is? 

Milestones: She is cooing up a storm! She will also "talk" to her daddy every evening when he gets home from work. It is the sweetest.thing.ever. More purposeful smiling and giggles which melt our hearts.

2 Month Update

Someone partied a little too hard at the photo shoot. 

Height/Weight: Amelia Grace clocked in at 22.25 inches and 11 lbs, 11oz at her two month appointment. That puts her in the 52% for height and 71% for weight. So right now we have a short porker:-)

Clothes: She wears mainly 3 months and some 3-6. Even though she doesn't seem very tall, all her 3 month footie pajamas squish her. 

Likes: tummy time, being outside, her playmat, ceiling fans, snuggling/falling asleep on our chest, sleeping in her crib, and her pacy.  

Dislikes: STILL hates sleeping on her back, spitting up while she sleeps (who wouldn't??), not being in her bed when she gets tired, getting out of the bath, and shots.

Milestones: Holds her head up for a while now! She's also smiling and cooing, and focusing more on different things as she sees them.
