5 on Friday [03.28]

Happy Friday!

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

 *one*
I am so excited for a cozy date night in tonight. After last weekend's whirlwind trip plus all that we have going on Saturday and Sunday, a night tucked in watching Redbox movies and noshing on pizza is just what we need!

*two*
We are halfway to meeting our baby girl!! We had a 20-week appointment at the high-risk OB and he said everything looks great. They even snapped a few pictures of her for us:-) We will go back in two weeks and then again two weeks after that just to make sure she is still rocking along.

*three*
Have any of y'all seen The Outsiders movie? I'm watching it with my kiddos this week since we just finished reading the book, and I had forgotten how much I loved it! What a great story and interpretation. Not to mention you get to see a whole slew of actors before they made it to the big times.

It's almost April. Holy canoli! How did that happen?? I'm definitely not complaining because it means we are one month closer to summer and our baby girl, but still. Time is flying this year!

*five*
Has anyone seen the trailer for The Giver?? I loved the book the first time I read it as a kid, and feel even more in love every time I've taught it. The trailer doesn't look much like the book, but I'm still excited!

Friday's Letters [04.12]

Happy Friday, folks!!

Dear Netflix, Thank you for the addition of Season 5 of Mad Men! I've been on the edge of my seat since I finished Seasons 1-4 last year. See what you can do about being speedy to post Season 6.

Dear Davido, Are you ready for some Spring cleaning?? Casa de Mobley is going be sparkling and fresh inside and out. Get excited!

Dear Mother Nature, Now we're talking! These days of high 70's and low 80's are FAB! Moods have perked up and attitudes have changed for the better. Keep this kind of weather around and the world might learn to get along!

Dear farm box, Welcome back! I am super excited to see all the goodies you will bring us this Spring/Summer. If this first week is any indication, the Mobleys are going to be very happy (and healthy!) campers:

Dear Peanut, I am SO excited to find out if you are a he or a she next week! Then I will finally have an excuse to start buying you precious little things:-)

Dear conference week, You about killed me this year. I don't know if it was all the bookings or the fact that I am preggers and exhausted, but I am pooped. I will definitely be getting a good night's sleep tonight when it is all over!

Dear readers, Any avid readers out there with suggestions?? I am looking for a few good books to dive into over Thanksgiving Break and am welcome to any and all suggestions.

Dear movie theaters, Please do not sell out of Twilight tickets. I would really enjoy getting to see the final installment of the Bella-Edward-Jacob drama ASAP. Want to save a couple for the Mobleys?

Dear Duck Dynasty, Thank you for the ongoing laughs and great things that come from your show. I am officially hooked and will be catching up as much as possible over break next week. Keep up with the crazy!

Christmas Movie Madness

Aside from a teacher workday on Monday, I am officially on Christmas break-WAHOOOO! Can you tell I'm excited?? I mean, I love my students (I really do!), but it is so nice to have the next two weeks off to spend time with my sweet husband and our families. That's right I said families. We are fortunate enough to get to see both sides of our families over break!

The first few days of break will find us relaxing around the house. I have grand plans of sleeping, baking, and catching up on Christmas movies. I don't hate it. The movies on the list?

A new classic and must-see in the Mobley house!

I love all three of these movies and make sure to have a marathon session every year!
A classic! It has to be the cartoon though.

Not quite sure what sweet treats will be concocted yet, but if they're a success I'm sure they'll find their way here! How are YOU planning on relaxing during this time??
