Peeps Treat

Every Easter (well at least the past two Easters) I've made this cake. While it's nothing fancy it doesn combine two of my most favorite things-Peeps and cake! Here is the recipe for my Peeps Sunflower Cake:

3 packages Peeps Yellow Marshmallow Chicks
1 standard box cake mix (yellow cake is my cake of choice)

2 containers of chocolate frosting
1 bag chocolate chips

Prepare cake mix according to package directions for making two 8” round cakes.  

Place one round cake on a plate or cake stand and top with chocolate frosting. Place the second round cake on top of frosting. Frost entire cake with chocolate frosting.

Place Peeps around the outside of the cake with the tails pointing out.

Place chocolate chips on top of the cake in a circular pattern.
