M&M Cookies

One of David's favorite treats in the world is a bag of plain M&M's. This boy doesn't need anything fancy to satisfy his sweet tooth, just a few of those candy covered chocolates and he is on cloud nine. Since both sides of our families know this we got quite a few bags this past Christmas. What a bad problem to have, huh? ;-) Instead of devouring them all in one swoop I scoured the internet for a good recipe and found this treat. Let me know what y'all think!

Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 12-oz package of M&M's

Directions
Preheat oven to 350
In large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla.
In medium bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt; blend into butter/sugar mixture.
Stir in M&M’s.
Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 10-13 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and centers are still soft.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; cool completely on wire racks.
Enjoy!

Sugars, flour, and measuring devices ready to go!

All mixed up!

A few of these may have popped into my mouth on their way to the bowl. . .

10 minutes seemed so long to wait!

Absolute deliciousness!
